Swiss Re, the world’s leading and most diversified global reinsurer, wanted to offer 800 UK employees flexible benefits. Vebnet was brought in to harmonise employee terms and conditions and remuneration after its acquisition of GE Insurance Solutions. An exemplary benefits package coupled with a comprehensive and imaginative communications programme, including a flash streaming video onto the intranet site, contributed to the resounding success of this launch. The success was reflected in a 71% take-up rate. Swiss Re funded the first year's costs using savings made by National Insurance.
